Natsumi committed suicide by taking poison with her boyfriend. Luka, the gatekeeper, tells Natsumi the truth when she reaches the Gate of Hell. Natsumi is shocked, but doesn't try to blame him. All she had to do was say, "I want to see the person I love again."
